The Brandy made from grain

December 1, 2016

It's time for a new couch. It's been great but, you know, its just over between us. I've had enough of its tattered corners and saggy cushions. I need something fresh and inspiring. So I've been looking in the modern furniture stores and what's been discovered is fascinating. I've found a lot of wood grain. A lot of furniture in the fashion of the 70's.

I love it! It's so clean but so warm and it brings in the comfort of a welcoming home. It also has nostalgia which had me thinking about growing up and the pieces of wood grain furniture adorning our rumpus room. We owned a terrific foldaway desk that housed all our writing equipment. We actually sat there and used pens and pencils, not a laptop in sight! Simple days.

Naturally, this led me to think about the 70's cocktail list. The kind of thing I would see on 'The Love Boat' or 'Mad Men'. Drinks such as, Fluffy Duck, Grasshopper, Tequila Sunrise, Pina Colada they all rate a mention.

So, I have been inspired. Read on... and taste.
